The basis of the education in the Prep Department is building confidence in a family environment based on respect and Christian virtues.

It is a happy and adventurous place. This is supported by a firm and fair discipline and pastoral system that meets the needs of the individual.

Parental involvement is most welcome and seen as an integral part of daily school life. Creativity and opportunity are valued and pupils are encouraged to take on responsibilities.

Pupils are taught by subject specialists in specialist rooms from Year 5, with a combination of form based and subject specific teaching in Years 3 and 4.

The broad curriculum, supported by a wide choice of activities, encourages all pupils to reach their maximum potential and explore their talents in a stimulating and exciting learning environment.

All-round academic excellence is a priority. Music and art are strengths, while sport forms an integral part of school life. Modern science and design and technology laboratories coupled with an impressive computer suite and network help to ensure pupils are well prepared for future education. The excellent Learning Support Unit assists pupils in a variety of ways.
