The Ballard Performing Arts Centre

We are very fortunate at Ballard School to have our own impressive multifunctional Performing Arts Centre. It is the only one of its kind within the New Forest and provides our pupils with a unique experience. It has raked seating for an audience of 170 and has a maximum capacity of 300. It has a lighting and sound box for all technical requirements together with a foyer, kitchen and green room with full length mirrors.

It is the venue in which drama, dance and expressive arts lessons are taught and provides the opportunity for pupils to gain experience both on the stage performing but also assisting backstage with the lighting, sound, front of house duties, make up and costume. We currently offer six productions a year which vary from musicals to plays, dance showcases or musical concerts.  All pupils from KG to yr 11 get the opportunity to take part. GCSEs, school assemblies, parents' evenings and presentations also benefit from this fabulous venue.

Out of school hours it also provides the perfect location for concerts, conferences, drama and dance schools. For more details on hire charges please contact rachel.spackman@ballardschool.co.uk

Dance Studio

This is one of the latest additions to Ballard School’s fantastic facilities and comes complete with full length mirrors and ballet barres. All Dance lessons and after school Dance activities take place in this spacious wooden floor panelled studio. We have made a link with an outside Dance company who offer a range of dance styles in addition to curriculum Dance.
