Please be advised that we are currently operating a Waiting List Policy for entry into 2020 for a number of year groups. If you are interested in your child or children joining Ballard School in 2020, please contact our registrar as soon as possible to note your interest.
Even in these uncertain times, we aim to make your admissions’ experience as friendly and as smooth as possible at Ballard. Whether you wish to register in advance or are suddenly relocating and need a place quickly, we will always try to help.
Ballard believes in ‘Bespoke Education’ and this starts with admissions. From the moment you contact us, or request a prospectus, we treat you and your family as individuals. We want to learn about your child or children and their interests so that we can, wherever possible, make the journey tailored for them.
To begin with, we would normally welcome you to come and visit us either on an Open Morning or to arrange a private visit. For the moment this is not possible so for those of you that are looking to join us in 2020 please contact our Registrar, Lynsey Davis, by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
If places are available, you can secure your child’s place by registering them and paying a small fee. We will then organise a video meeting with the Headmaster, alongside the chance to talk with the relevant Head of Section (Pre-Prep, Lower Prep, Upper Prep or Senior School).
For those joining after September 2020 we hope that we will be able to offer a taster day so that your child can ‘test drive’ our School and we can ensure, with you, that Ballard is the best fit for them.
For those with exceptionally talented children, Ballard offers scholarships into Year 3, Year 7 and Year 9. Applications do need to be made in good time and interest must be registered by the end of the Summer Term of the year prior to starting.
We will also help you with School uniform, which currently must be ordered online, (we do have a school shop and a second-hand shop on-site), transport arrangements and our extensive extra-curricular activities to give you the best start at Ballard.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Ballard.
“The induction programme at Ballard has far exceeded my expectations and is poles apart from our experience with other schools. Both my son and I have felt welcome from day one both by the teaching and support staff as well as the students (both existing and new) and our class representatives and other parents. It has made his transition into secondary education a seamless and enjoyable time – I’ve never known him so motivated to get up in the morning, get his homework done and be so happy at school! Please pass my thanks on to your entire team – I finally feel like I’m getting value for money for my son’s private education!” – new parent.
In my capacity as Registrar, I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to Ballard. On behalf of the whole School, from our pupils and staff to Merlin the School dog, we look forward to helping you in any way we can.
My aim is to make sure you are fully equipped with all the information you need to make the right decision when choosing a school for your son or daughter. As a current parent of two Ballard pupils, I understand that each child is different and each situation requires individual care and attention. Every case is unique, just like prospective pupils and their families.
Why not register for a taster day or visit us at one of our Open Mornings so you can experience our vibrant atmosphere for yourself?
I look forward to assisting and guiding you through the admissions process and welcoming you to Ballard soon.
