Sport plays a central role in life at Ballard, with outstanding facilities, a strong competitive programme with a sport for all ethos and a wide range of enrichment opportunities. The PE Department is highly valued within the school and contributes significantly to pupil wellbeing, teamwork and confidence. Staff are expected to contribute fully to the co‑curricular programme, including offering two after‑school activities per week as part of this role.

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Lead Pastoral Support Assistant and Attendance Officer to join the Pastoral Team at our multi-award-winning school.

This is a newly created, permanent role designed to strengthen pupil wellbeing, pastoral care and attendance across the School. The role is term time only, ideally around 30 hours per week spread over five days, with some flexibility, plus INSET days and a small number of Saturdays paid in addition.
If you are committed to securing the best possible wellbeing and outcomes for pupils, are organised, calm under pressure and confident working with children up to the age of 16, we would be delighted to hear from you. ELSA training is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

Applications should arrive no later than 9.00am on Monday 11th May 2026. Interviews will be arranged flexibly by mutual agreement.
