The Manatees was formed by four pupils whilst at School and they recently completed a number of UK gigs.

“I arrived at Ballard as a performing arts scholar and my experience exceeded expectations.

I had so many great opportunities: big-band concerts, musical theatre shows and choral concerts, but the Barcelona Music Tour was the standout moment. I sang in some of the most beautiful venues in the world with some of my closest mates.

Being nurtured to give it a go and hone my craft at Ballard has led me to study music at university and pursue it as a career. I currently work as an Artist Liaison to some of the biggest UK artists and play bass guitar in three different projects, including The Manatees.

My passion for music was ignited at Ballard.”

“It’s safe to say that without Mrs G and Mr P, my current career within the music industry would not exist. When I joined Ballard, they gave me the opportunity and drive to pursue performing arts- something I’d never experienced.

I am now Assistant Creative Director in London for San Remo. We represent songwriters and producers working with world class talent on top ten hits, including Tom Grennan, Rita Ora, Sam Fender, Little Mix and many more.

Ballard led me to discover my potential as an artist. The Manatees, have secured extensive national radio play, performed headline tours across the country and secured sync placements on Sky and BT TV.

I cannot thank Ballard and their fantastic music department enough for the development and guidance they gave me.”
