Summer Camps – Open to all

We are delighted to be offering Ballard Camps again this summer to all children from Reception to Year 10.

There are a host of activities on offer for pupils from Reception to Year 10 including: Art, BikeAbility, Coding, Drama, Gymnastics, Horrible Mysteries, Junior DofE and Forest Rangers, Mad Science, Music, Sport (including pre-season training sessions during the last two weeks of camps), Swimming and regular Stay and Play sessions.

On most days we will try and fit in a fun swim in the afternoon, so please pack swimming costumes/towels/goggles etc.  However, this is not guaranteed as it depends on the availability of a lifeguard.

Swimming Lessons

(1:5 ratio) can be provided at a cost of £15.00 per hour for day bookings or £20.00 for those who just want a swimming lesson or a 1:1. These can be booked directly via email

Main Things to know:

  • Sign in is at the canopy in between the terrace and the changing rooms on the main field – please park in the main car park, walk across the grass and we will meet you there!
  • Please supply water bottles, they can be filled up at any time.
  • Sun lotion must be applied before starting the day. Please also pack some in a bag to top up.
  • A cap / sun hat must also be packed
  • Lunch is not provided, so please supply your own and snacks.

£40.00 per child, per day or £35.00 per child, per day, with sibling discount.

We offer a discount of £5.00 per child, per day for sibling bookings.

Please note that there is a 48 hour cancellation policy from the start time of the relevant camp to receive a full refund.

What times do the Camps run?

Camps run from 9.00am – 4.00pm. Early drop off and late pick up are available but must be pre-arranged. Cost £5.00 per 30 mins, per child (from 8.30am or to 4.30pm).

What do we need to bring on the day?

Please ensure your child is wearing suitable clothes for the activities they are involved in.

Please bring a packed lunch (no nuts please), healthy snacks and a water bottle.

Do you accept child care vouchers?

Yes, we accept child care vouchers. We are also registered with Bright Horizons and accept their voucher scheme.

Can I just book individual days?

Yes – you can book single days.

Do I have to be a Ballard pupil to be able to attend the Camps?

No, our Camps are open to everyone (subject to the age limits).

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

We offer a full refund for cancelled bookings received with at least 48 hours’ notice (from the start of the camp in question). Cancellations not received with 48 hours’ notice will not be refunded.
