Alumni

At Ballard we consider our Alumni very much as part of our family. Alumni regularly return to School to tell us about their recent achievements, talk to our pupils about their careers or to run a workshop, help with a musical performance or just catch up. We are always pleased to see them and hear their news.

It is a real treat for our younger pupils to meet and work with our Alumni and they enjoy listening and learning from them in an extension of our mentoring programme. This demonstrates that we are a real through-School!

Recent Alumni reports range from an Olympic gold-medal winning Paralympian swimmer to a world-record highliner trapeze artist, an international opera singer, an RAF fighter pilot, a Cambridge University philosopher and a member of an Indie Rock band.

We are proud of our Alumni and what they choose to do after Ballard, knowing we have given them the skills they need to achieve their goals.

“I regularly see the impact that my time at Ballard has had. I have been commended on ‘soft skills’ and the presentation skills, learnt via a combination of English lessons and speaking in assembly, have proved to be so useful at a conservatoire, being on stage. I sincerely thank you so much for such a wonderful experience at Ballard.”

“When we come back its straight round to Granny’s, then back to Ballard!”
