16 Before 16

During the summer, Ella (Year 11) set up and completed ’16 Challenges’ to accomplish before her 16th birthday to raise money for the charity Brain Tumour Research.

Ella has flown a plane, shot clay-pigeons, air-rifles and arrows, rowed in a record-breaking double scull, given a museum lecture, climbed mountains and 120 foot rock-faces, swum a 2km lake, helmed a power boat, fought hard through 16 rounds of MMA in a ring, scuba dived, slogged a 16-mile triathlon, painted 16 landscapes and even played 16 holes of golf.

She successfully completed all the challenges, culminating with a 15,300 foot skydive but most importantly, she has so far raised over £2,500 for an important and underfunded area of cancer treatment – Brain Tumour Research – in memory of her grandfather. Well done, Ella
