Ballard is lucky enough to be the first organisation in the UK to test-drive the new electric Ford Transit minibus. Ballard will be the first UK school to have two electric minibuses and only the second school in the UK to have one. The bus has been used on the Milford, Brockenhurst and Mudeford runs with all the drivers getting a chance to trial it. It also had a few laps of school, where excited pupils got a chance to go for a ride in it. More importantly, we are ahead of the curve and trail blazing with our solar power being used to feed new charging points for the minibuses when they arrive in September.
